Dream Big

I spent the day painting and drawing with a special little lady.  I am always amazed and inspired at how creative children can be. She drew fish that looked like her Mom and Dad while talking to her imaginary friends.  And I painted this flying elephant. Of course, she just had to be pink!  No stress, no over-thinking anything, just a wonderful, fun-filled day.

Why do we ever have to grow up and forget the magic of just BELIEVING?  I, for one, don’t plan to ever grow up!  Well, at least most of the time :)

The Garden

I love this time of year...cold weather, snow, bundling up, skiing, the holidays, and family visits.  But every now and then, especially on dreary days, the colors of a summer garden burst through my paintbrush and I end up with this.

Just A Bowl

When you're facing a blank canvas and you're not sure what to paint, sometimes a bowl a fruit will do to get you going again.

I'll Go Where You'll Go

I seem to be obsessed with fish lately.  I think a trip to the aquarium is in order...or a short vacation to Hawaii.

Fall Away

Fall is here.  The air is cool and the trees are starting to turn that rich golden yellow that I would love to fill a canvas with.  It’s my favorite time of year.  Ironically, even if I didn’t know what month it was, my body, like clockwork, would let me know just fine.  I get sick for the week before the official date of fall every year.  My husband calls me a human barometer.  I don’t mind, it’s a small price to pay for the splendid colors that bestows itself upon us every year.
